Novroz is a day of celebration;
which marked by decorating homes, family gatherings, feasting, and even the exchange of gifts. However, for many, it is considered a religious celebration. Its roots lie in Zoroastrianism, an ancient religion. Even after Islam superseded this religion, the Shia population did not abandon the celebration, nor did religious authorities reject it

Novroz is recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, highlighting its significance and cultural richness.
